Generally very good, trouble with one vertical support

"I bought 8 sets of these for storing lumber on our garage wall. They seem very sturdy (my lumber is supported by one of these on *every* stud) went up as easily as you could expect and look great. I only had an issue with one of the vertical supports. For some reason, it was very difficult to get the cotter pins through the sides. The holes were not properly aligned with the holes in the arms. The issue wasn't the arms, because I tried arms from other sets and had the same problem. I was finally able to get them in using pliers (for the best alignment I could achieve) and a hammer to force it through. I had no issue with any of the other supports or arms."

Heavy duty storage racks

"I'm a woodworker and bought these racks for lumber storage. They were easy to install and hold a lot of lumber. The distance between each shelf is exactly what I was looking for, so when it's time to "go through the stack" to find that perfect board I only have to look through 4-5 boards. This makes selected boards from the rack quick and easy..."

These shelves are fine.

"These shelves are pretty strong. Notes: (1) If you use all 3 shelves, the space between the shelves is only about 9 inches. Either use just 2 shelves or get the 5 tier option and use only 3 or 4 shelves. (2) As one of the other reviewers said, use needle nose pliers for the small locking pins. (3). I used this in my garage. If you need cheap shelving, suggest going to a home improvement store and use about 1/2 (or 15/32) inch plywood, cut 14" one way for the width of the shelf, and at least 18" length. I used 24" length for 4 inch extensions on either side of the brackets."

"Bought these to use as a lumber rack, and they work great! I chose these because the arms are longer than competitors, there’s a little upward curve on the end to prevent items from sliding/rolling off, and the spacing between shelves is very flexible. Plus they’re strong and easy to install. Will be buying more of them!"

Q&A

When a self is used what is the size of the gap between the shelf the wall? I want to put pegboard between the upright , hence I want to thr amount of space.
When the shelf is installed on the arm, there is half an inch of clearance between the wall and the shelf, when mounted on the upright. This is assuming you are referring to the gap where the back of the shelf board would contact the front face of the upright. The measurement is essentially the depth of the upright, which is a little over .5"
Can we order 6 additional wall brackets?
These products are sold in sets. Additional units (as a whole) can be ordered and units can be stacked for additional storage options.
What hardware should be used to attach racks to a concrete block wall? Thanks.
We test our product to capacity when installed in the wooden studs. We do not test installation into concrete. If you're interested in concrete installation, please consult with your local hardware store for the correct hardware for mounting to a concrete wall
Can I break the tabs off the end of the arms to install a deeper (16") flat shelf?
While that is technically possible, we do not recommend it because the leverage has been tested up to the length of the arm and we cannot guarantee any modifications made to the product.
I love the Delta Heavy Duty Storage Rack system, however, it would be nice if you sold different length Arms and other accessories for it. Will you ever be offering accessory parts with pins that fit the unique Uprights mounting design? Great produce and very easy to assemble and mount.
