"I bought a new gravel bike and was outfitting my frame with tool kit and accessories and needed bottle cages. After looking at the displays in my local bike shop, these were the lightest without being spendy carbon-fiber units. I was skeptical at first as I've used more conventional designed cages on my road bike, but I have ridden over 200 miles off road so far and the bottles stay tight. They are snug enough that you need a deliberate pull when you grab for them. Been over train tracks and lots of rocks and moguls and bottles stayed tight. I'm buying a second set to replace on my road bike just cuz they look great and will save a few grams (although at 6'3" a few grams is not going to mean much, but cycling is weight obsessed I guess)."
