Essential bike touring item

"I love these nets. I've taken mine on many, many miles on long distance tours and it has become and absolute essential part of my kit. Great for shoving things onto your bike short term instead of unrolling your panniers. Perfect for ferry crossings, just shove all your shoes helmet etc. in the net and you're good to go. I strap it between the rear of my saddle, over my Ortlieb bag and the other end attaches to my bike rack. Also great for taking a few things with you after you pitch camp and dump all your panniers."

Unfortunate Product Defect

"I have owned 2 of these nets, and my friend has owned 1. All 3 nets have malfunctioned in the same way: the knot at one corner came loose, and the clip at that corner subsequently fell off. The first time this occurred to me, I lost the clip. I contacted Delta Cycle customer service, provided them my proof of purchase (ty to my bike shop who'd the purchase on file), and I received a new one in the mail. W/in a week of using the replacement net, it came apart in the same manner. This time, however, I was able to salvage the clip before it fell completely off, and I tied the defective know tighter. That was approximately 5 months ago, and I have not had a problem with the net since then. For my friend, the defective knot loosened, the clip at that corner came off, and he continues to use his net but w/ only 3 clips. On a positive note, customer service was friendly and effective, and the elasticity of this nets is very good."

"Durable hooks, lots of stretch. Mine lives on the rack on the back of my commuter bike. It's held up to 40 pounds of stuff on the rack for a shopping trip of a couple of miles. Great for flat or bulky or even shopping bags full of stuff"

This stretches to double its size… Except you don’t say what its dimensions are!?
At rest the cargo net is 8in x 8in but stretches up to 3x its size to accommodate.
