Safety Recall - Ceiling Hoist with Straps

We have learned that the plastic buckles for the straps can fail as shown below. You should discontinue using these straps immediately as they present a fall hazard which could result in injury. These straps are used in storing a kayak, canoe, ladder or other larger items.
If you are not using the straps and only using the hooks, no further action is required
 

 

Please follow the steps below to fix this problem. Failure to follow these steps could result in injury.

 

1. Please check your serial number by looking at the larger double pulley assembly (measures ~6" on longest dimension) on the side that would touch the ceiling.
  
2. The following ranges of serial numbers are subject to recall:

3.  If you own an RS2300 Delta Ceiling Hoist with Straps and your serial number matches the serial numbers in the range above or your hoist does not have a serial number please click here and complete the form and select "Hoist Strap Recall" in the reason for contact.
Upon receipt please swap the new straps for the existing straps and dispose of the older straps.
