off road so far and the bottles stay tight. They are snug enough that you need a deliberate pull when you grab for them. Been over train tracks and lots of rocks and moguls and bottles stayed tight. I'm buying a second set to replace on my road bike just cuz they look great and will save a few grams (although at 6'3" a few grams is not going to mean much, but cycling is weight obsessed I guess).
