break easily

the first holder i had, the metal part fractured as i was riding. customer service sent me a replacement. the replacement broke within a year of owning it. finally remembered to take it off my bike. i can’t recommend this product to anyone

Does not fit all sizes of round aluminum handlebars

This product does not work for handlebars with a 35mm clamp diameter.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. 35mm is a relatively new mountain bike handlebar diameter. Our soon-to-be-launched Quick Mount will work with 35mm bars.

The hefty with elastomount would work on 35mm bars also. Another option would be to use the stem mount with the hefty plus or the X-Mount pro that uses a stem mount.

not happy

I have had several of these and the rubber bands keep breaking. It does not work well with large phones

Q: I got the x mount as a birthday gift. It mounts to the stem. Both times I’ve tried to ride with it, the phone holder and phone have fallen off. Fortunately the phone has been fine. Any suggestions? The screw pulls out when the phone cradle falls.

A: Hello - this could be a case of needing to tighten the bolt a little further on the stem cap. There should be no room for movement or 'rattle' when the phone is mounted. If you need additional assistance, please reach out and we can assist!

do I need to use a shim

A: No! A shim is only needed if you think an extra layer of material is needed in order to obtain a good grip/tight fit. If your phone mount is secure, no shim needed!
