Hit a bump and it cracked
"Bought this a few months back and liked it for the first few rides. But today I hit a bump on the paved trail and the holder cracked. Phone went flying but was OK. Meanwhile the locking mechanism is shot thanks to the break in the plastic. Too fragile to be fit for purpose and at $43. 99 certainly not good value."
Cannot assemble.
"The bolt doesn't fit the threads because the threads aren't all the same size, the pictures on the instructions are backwards from how the product is shaped, and there is no hole to connect the product using the stem mount. 3 ways to attach to the bike, and none of them can actually be utilized. Honestly surprised any reputable bike store has this product. Very disappointed."

"My wife purchased a Hefty+ Deluxe Phone Holder for me for my birthday. It seemed like a convenient way to keep my phone handy while cycling around the paved trails in our neighborhood. When I hit my first bump, the phone went flying, but fortunately landed in my lap. The springs on the phone holder were clearly insufficient to hold the phone, so I used a couple of free, strong rubber bands that came with produce to keep my phone secure in my $40+ Hefty+ Deluxe Phone Holder. This worked well until the third time I went biking and hit a bump, when the plastic mount of the phone holder broke off, and both phone and phone holder went flying. Thanks to the free rubber bands, the phone did stay with the phone holder, though it was now separated from my bike. I now keep my phone in my pocket."

"I purchased this from a local bike shop. I was looking for something that would securely hold my phone in place as I rode that didn’t need a custom case or adhesive attachment to my phone. The rubber corners hold the device securely in place. The only thing that could improve it in my opinion is the ability to pivot the phone into landscape mode. Other than that, a great buy."

- I purchased a Delta Hefty plus deluxe phone holder a couple months ago from Alaska Ebike store in Anchorage Alaska. The bottom part of the plastic phone holder is cracking and breaking. I commute on my ebike so this is an important item for me. I don't want my phone to fall off the handlebar. I see on the original box that says you have a guarantee. My phone holder needs to be replaced. Please advise. Thanks, Christopher

- Is the phone holder itself waterproof?
- We note that our products are weather-resistant, but we do not encourage long-term exposure to the elements.
- What is the little spout-looking thing on the bottom right corner? Does it matter if it's installed so it is in the top left corner? I have limited room on my handlebar and it fits better if turned upside down.
- We do believe you're referring to the locking mechanism. If it's the locking mechanism then when it's at the bottom right the phone holder will open upwards. If you flip it upside down it will open downwards. Either way will work, you just need to make sure that the phone holder is locked when the phone is inserted. - Too many reviews stating that the lock broke or this & that no longer functions. Your responses to those issues are less than specific in what you did to correct the situation. Just tell me Delta has a lifetime replacement policy for normal product malfunctions (not a crash, bike drop, etc) and I will buy one. I want to be assured that if something is a design flaw (fatigue, UV embrittlement, etc) that Delta will keep replacing.
- We understand that sometimes issues come up that are user error, but we have also made vast improvements to the design of the Hefty+, but while our products are sold through online distributors and local shops, we cannot guarantee what model or version of the product will be sold at the time, which is why we back the product with a limited lifetime guarantee. As older versions 'age out' or are out of circulation, there should be no similar issues now that the product has been improved.
